The proposal comprises the design of a simple glazed chancel screen at St Mary’s Church in Atherstone, positioned within an existing archway. The intervention is conceived to be lightweight and visually unobtrusive, allowing clear views through the space while providing a subtle division between the chancel and nave. The use of glazing ensures transparency and preserves the architectural integrity of the historic interior, while the minimalist detailing respects the character and significance of the church interior.
