Originally built circa 2005, the property was extensively renovated and extended with modern features and amenities in 2020. This included a new large ensuite with electric glazing between the bedroom that frosted when the ensuite was in use, adding a layer of privacy and convenience for the occupants. The ensuite included a steam room, sauna and shower and additional floor strengthening was included under the four-person whirlpool bath. The existing bedroom was re-built, re-roofed and all road facing walls included soundproofing measures to enhance privacy and reduce noise pollution. A room originally intended as a guest bedroom was changed to a yoga studio with a first-floor outdoor space designed for relaxation and meditation. An original skylight was replaced with flat multi-laminated glass walk-on rooflight, providing daylight to the room below, whilst providing an exterior place for contemplation under the open sky. Externally new cladding with inlays brought the composition together, creating a harmonious blend of materials that unify the aesthetic and structural elements of the architecture. The remainder of the dwelling was refurbished to a high quality.
